Willie from Dillon

Willie was born in the Netherlands in the early 50’s. His family emmigrated to the United States in 1959 settling in San Diego, California.

After graduating from high school, he joined the US Air Force and was stationed at Lowry Air Force Base in Denver Colorado for his entire 4-year tour of duty. He remained in Colorado after his discharged and raised a family of three sons.

He retired from heavy hauling truck driving and having been a musician since the early seventies, he joined several bands over the years!

He became a radio presenter back in 2012 after hearing of an opportunity at an online radio station dedicated to Military Veterans.

He is a dedicated John Denver fan as has been doing tribute shows since 2013!

Willie is presenting not one but TWO original shows for us here at Rocking Fox Radio – Willie’s Radio Ranch, a 2 hour country music show and The 60s On Sunday – Willie’s favourite 60s Americana tracks.
