Rock’s Golden Year with The RockMeister

Fridays at 6pm on Rocking Fox Radio

Every year in rock music has its own story. The breakthrough bands, the unforgettable albums, the classic singles and the songs that still sound fantastic decades later.

Join Gordon Cooper, The RockMeister, every Friday at 6pm for Rock’s Golden Year, a one-hour journey back to a different year in rock music history.

One Year, A Whole Lot of Rock

Each week, Gordon chooses a particular year and revisits the rock hits that helped define it.

It’s an opportunity to travel back through the decades and remember the music that was making its mark at the time.

Some years produced groundbreaking new sounds, while others saw established rock artists enjoying enormous success. Every era has its own character, and Rock’s Golden Year brings that musical history back to life.

Whether the chosen year brings back memories of buying records, seeing bands live or hearing a favourite song for the first time, there’s something special about revisiting the music of a particular moment in time.
